The Mindset To Adopt When Resolving Conflict (Clip)

Even using that, hey, look, I know we're on the same team. It is important to use that language. And when we talk about this, we start by, we hold hands, certain things where you're setting the stage so that you can have a success at the end of it.

And so you say, even as hard as it is, I know we're on the same team. I know you would never mean to hurt me. Things like that.

Things that we actually do. Right. Things that we do.

And then saying, but when you did this, this is how I felt. When you did this, even though I know you probably didn't mean it, I know you weren't trying to hurt me, right? Unless you think that they were. And then in that case, you can say, in that situation, it felt like you were trying to hurt me.

In that situation, it felt like you were trying to offend me. The main point is we're not trying to hold anything back, but we're also trying to not just carelessly let everything come out and being mindful of the language that we're using, because unless you are mindful of how you're speaking to each other, that can also make resolving conflict and getting to the root issue very hard to do.
