One Powerful Way to Deepen Communication With Your Spouse Today

Welcome to today's Marriage Minute. My name is Steve and I'm Michelle and today we're talking about communication. So one of the things that drives me crazy about Steve is that he asks a kajillion questions.

I'll say something simple like I went to get gas today and he'll ask me oh which gas station did you go to? Did you go before or after work? Was it crowded? Did you pay inside or at the pump? All good questions but Michelle on the other hand doesn't need all the details. I'll say I went to go get gas today and she'll say it's about time. So although these questions sometimes drive me crazy I realize that they're what makes Steve a really good conversationalist.

He's good at keeping the conversation going and asking questions. That's very nice of you to say. Thank you and we all know we all know that communication is important in a solid marriage.

Yeah so our challenge for you today is to ask 20 questions in a row with your partner when you're having a conversation. Just start off by asking 20 questions in a row. Ask a question and then listen for the answer and then ask another question and then listen for the answer.

Don't judge. Don't offer your opinion. Don't give suggestions.

Just ask a question and then listen for the answer. You might just be surprised at what you'll learn.
